Need Words of Encouragement to Get Over Addiction?
Question by SheBee: Need words of encouragement to get over addiction?
Ive now made a choice to get out of a drug problem ive been having the last few years.
Ive made a program together with my doctor, and i think it goes very well so far (im a week into the program).
But sometimes, it gets hard, and i think “What the hell, maybe i should just start using again…”. Not many people i know, knows about my problem, so im totally on my own.
Do you have any words of encouragement, i can look back at when the hard times comes by?
Im really determined to get my life back.

Your last sentence should be all the encouragement you need. Any time you feel like taking a hit, write that sentence down. Look at it. Feel it. Study it. Understand it. Then live it.

The past is the past, if you keep looking back at it you will never progress forwards. Yes, there will definitely be hard times in the future, but that’s part of recovery. It DOES get better, and you CAN do it.
