I sent my son to Puerto Rico with my mom and I told him it was a two week vacation but I lied. I want him to stay until September. He is addicted to video games and has been violent. He swore at me, punched a hole in a door, and stood in my face and yelled come on because of his addiction. I received his report card and it’s D’s and F’s. He is 16 but he is taller than me and I am a single mom. He has been calling me daily from P.R. because he’s bored but he just needs his xbox live. All he did was play from waking up to after midnight when he was suppose to stop at 11:30pm. He didn’t follow rules and so I lied and told him I would go to P.R a week later to get him to go. He has anger management problems and the day he swore at me i took his games away for a week and told him that I would call the police next time. He told my mom in P.R. that he’ll run away if I don’t bring him back to the USA but I don’t care. He needs to learn a lesson and live without the games. His hygiene is bad. He doesn’t care about anything or anyone. He went to counseling but it did nothing and refused to go again. He told me he hates me and has told all his “friends” that he doesn’t care about me. I don’t know what else to do. He will be 17 in October and I’m thinking of throwing him out because I don’t want to wait until he does something to me. I’m planning on throwing out his games before he comes back and if he doesn’t like it he can move with his Grandfather or his loser drug addict father. Please help!!

I have had alcohol. I even got drunk when I was a teen from peer pressure. But now as an adult, I rarely drink…..no desire to. I have also used narcotic pain killers after surgery and never had the desire to continue using them once the pain was gone which was usually within a week. It must be something in my genes. I know so many people addicted to drugs and alcohol. I think if we could find the addiction genes, we could wipe out addiction. What do you think?
